学習目標(到達目標) To be able to briefly present your family; create a two-minute group Powerpoint presentation (on trends in gaming industry, etc.) using a graph; and a three-minute presentation (on inventions).
授業概要(教育目的) This is a required course of all first grade students, focusing on English speech skills (prepared script), presentation delivery (voice, eye contact) and visuals (Powerpoint creation). You will need to make both a group presentation and individual presentations.
授業内容(キーワード/スキルとそのレベル) Verbal message (use of transition words, trend verbs; describing functions; composition); the physical message (body language); and visual presentation such as basic Powerpoint layout (Keywords: family, compare, explain, trends, graphs, describe, inventions, functions, composition)

授業形式 Worksheets will be handed out. Students do research on computers or other devices. Presentations of posters are done on OHP and using YouTube videos, etc.
成績評価方法・基準 Participation: 40%
Speech (fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, speech skills): 30%
Poster Presentation (fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, presentation skills): 30%
期末試験の内容(提出方法・実施日) Two-minute speech on your family, three-minute group Powerpoint presentation using graphs in the class and two-minute inventions presentation. Topics: talking about family, describing trends, explaining graphs, comparing, describing inventions
履修条件および学生へのメッセージ Please bring a computer or tablet, plus a paper notebook and pen. This time you will find out how presenting in a group is much easier!
