学習目標(到達目標) To be able to make a two-minute demonstration presentation explaining how to do something (‘quick gourmet’ recipe), a three- minute poster presentation promoting a product (your favorite candy, etc.), and a guided tour presentation.
授業概要(教育目的) This is a required course of all first grade students, focusing on English speech skills (transitions), presentation delivery (voice, eye contact) and creation and use of visuals (posters, PowerPoint containing YouTube videos, etc.). You will need to make a poster and PowerPoint presentations.

授業形式 Worksheets will be handed out. Students do research on computers or other devices. Presentations of posters, recipes and tours are done on OHP and YouTube videos can be used in PowerPoint presentations, etc.
成績評価方法・基準 Participation (Questions asked in Q&A after presentations etc.): 30%
Survival English Test: 20%
Speeches (fluency, vocabulary, speech skills): 50%
期末試験の内容(提出方法・実施日) Oral test (Survival English - teacher chooses mini role-play randomly)
履修条件および学生へのメッセージ Please bring a computer or tablet, plus a paper notebook and pen. You will see that giving speeches are easy when its about something you enjoy doing!
